Nodar Topuria (Voitkevich)
Sculptor and teacher, Nodar Topuria-Voitkevich, worked mainly in the genre of small-scale plastic art – his intricately shaped, colored plaster sculptures immediately attracted the attention of professional circles.

In 1973 he participated in the Republican Exhibition, after which he became a member of the Artists’ Union. From that period he systematically participated in various international sculpture symposiums, exhibitions and competitions. In 1993 he was appointed director of the Artists’ House. 1994 – 2006 In 2007, he was a professor at the Department of Fine Arts at the Tbilisi Institute of Culture; in 2007, he held the position of Advisor to the Rector of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts. In the same year, he received the title of “Best Teacher of the Year” at his alma mater. The following year, He became an associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts.
